She further specialized through a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Drexel University. During her residency, she served as an assistant and associate instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, demonstrating her commitment to education and mentorship early in her career. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Chernow has remained actively involved in professional leadership over the years and continues to participate in Regional Council activities. Her accomplishments also include an award-winning residency paper analyzing Albert Camus’ The Stranger from a psychiatric perspective. With more than 35 years of experience and recognition as a Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA, Dr. Chernow continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients and the broader mental health community.
